sundawn
Etymology
From sun + dawn.
Why this word is great
SUNDAWN — [Noun] The light of the dawning sun. From Old English sunne ("the sun") and dagian ("to become day"). Unlike "sunrise" (which marks the sun’s breach of the horizon) or "twilight" (which lingers in half-light), sundawn is the first gold bleeding through the veil of night. It is the pale wash over dew-laden grass, the slow gilding of a spider’s web strung between branches, the way a single shaft through a window can turn dust into something holy—proof that light, however fleeting, always returns to claim the world.
noun
