Etymology
Borrowed from Portuguese copra, from Malayalam കൊപ്ര (kopra). Cognate with Tamil கொப்பரை (kopparai), Kuvi କବ୍ରି (kobri), Sanskrit कूर्पस (kūrpasa), Hindi खोपा (khopā).
