bralette
Etymology
From bra + -ette, with the addition of an l as in -let to prevent the sequence -ae-, or from French bralette where -l- similarly breaks up certain vowel sequences.
noun
- A kind of bra without an underwire, used as a training bra.“Of course it wasn’t a bra top. Bralettes, itty-bitty bandeaus and crocheted bikinis are everywhere. So, too, are Daisy Dukes cut high enough to expose buttocks curvature.”
